At the end of January 2008, BRP unveiled to the media the Ski-Doo 2009 models in Huntsville, Ontario. And we had the opportunity to test the brand new GTX 1200 4-TEC. This new version of the GTX is driven by the powerful 3-cylinder 4-stroke Rotax engine.
In order to let the GTX future owners benefit from the REV-XP chassis, the engineers from Valcourt added a new «essence» to it. Indeed, the GTX 1200 is built on the new REV-XR platform, which is almost identical to the REV-XP, but is a little wider at front. This supplementary space and some modifications to the engine attachment allow to install the Rotax 1200 4-TEC 4-stroke engine.
